I bought the hail cover after losing a car to major hail damage recently. The new car needed some protection and this cover is ideal. It fits a VE Commodore easily, with the side window protection worth the extra money over the standard cover. The first time putting it on the car, it took about 5 minutes and is a bit tricky if it's windy, so ideally would be put on in advance of the storm. The cover has 4 tie down straps, the middle 2 are a bit awkward as you need to get them under the car from one side to the other. The padding covers well from end to end and extends about to window sill level, the cover itself extends down and covers the rest of the car. I have not yet tried it in a hail storm, but feel it would give good protection in normal sized hail and lessen damage from larger hail.
